Bleanáskill Lodge is a little paradise at the Atlantic Drive, part of the Wild Atlantic Wave on Achill Island. It is
a quiet inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, about 2 km from Achill Sound,
the most nearby village. The view from the house is over the waters of The Sound to Curraun Peninsula.
The beautiful coastal gardens border the sea.
The Dutch owners, artist Willem van Goor painter of “Achillscapes”
and specialized in the drawing of botanical portraits and his wife
Doutsje would love to welcome you in their home.
There are two Bed & Breakfast rooms: the luxurious
Library Room and the spacious Garden Room. Guests valued their
stay as excellent in their reviews on the site of Booking.com.
When you prefer to stay for a longer period of time you might
prefer to rent the chalet.
Achill Island is at the Atlantic coast in County Mayo, due
west of Dublin. Many artists were (and still are) inspired by
its natural beauty and spectacular skies reflecting that special
light that comes with the ocean.
The island offers recreational possibilities for all ages
including walking, cycling, fishing, watersports and golf. For
those interested in nature there is a wide variety of flora and
fauna on the Island and in the surrounding areas. Achill is
famous for its beautiful Blue Flag beaches, each with its own
character and charm.
