Staying in Bleanáskill Lodge will be an experience you will not quickly forget. You
find this little paradise in the most westerly part of Ireland. Bleanáskill Lodge is
situated at a quiet inlet of the Atlantic Ocean, about
2 km from Achill Sound, the most nearby village. The view from
the house is on The Sound and on Peninsula Curraun. The beautiful coastal garden borders the sea.
The Dutch owners, artist Willem van Goor
painter of “Achillscapes” and specialized in the drawing of
botanical portraits and his wife Doutsje would love to welcome
you in their home.
There are two Bed & Breakfast rooms: the luxurious Library Room
and the spacious Garden Room. When you prefer to stay for a
longer period of time you might like to rent the chalet.
Achill is situated on the Atlantic coast in County Mayo, due
west of Dublin. The island has inspired many artists with its
natural beauty and spectacular skies reflecting the special
daylight that comes with the ocean.
Achill has recreational possibilities for all ages including walking (for
all abilities) fishing, watersports and golf. There is a nine
hole golf course on the Island and another in nearby Mulranny.
For those interested in nature there is a wide variety of flora
and fauna on the Island and in the surrounding areas. Achill is
famous for its beautiful Blue Flag beaches, each with its own
character and charm.
